This free interactive, introductory workshop, is being offered in person as well as online. You will receive the following information in this workshop:
- a brief history of MBSR
- what mindfulness is and is not
- a taste of mindfulness through one or more short guided practices
- information about the MBSR course, including its benefits and risks
- open time for Q/A

You need a high speed Internet connection, a laptop or desktop with speaker, microphone, and camera. Phones and tablets substantially reduce the experience and therefore not recommended. It is important to keep video on during all the live online classes so that it feels like an in-person class. A Zoom Link will be sent upon registration.
- Please try to attend a scheduled class being offered if possible. If you are interested in getting into the next MBSR program but are not able to attend the required Intro on any of the above dates, I may be able to give you an Intro by appointment.
- I will be in silent retreat during the first half of August and will not be checking emails during that time. Please register early if you can to avoid delay .
- If you took an Intro in spring 2025 and remember the information, it may be applied toward your MBSR registration requirement.
