
Mamata Misra is certified to teach Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) both In Person and Live Online, and has been teaching various mindfulness classes in Austin, Texas since 2016. She was trained to teach MBSR by the UMASS Center For Mindfulness, Mindfulness Center at Brown University, and East Coast Mindfulness. She has lived in Austin, Texas since 1974, where she has worked as a software engineer, a peer counselor and advocate for victims and survivors of family violence, a community educator, and a director of a non-profit before being a mindfulness teacher. Now, she teaches Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and other mindfulness classes in Austin, Texas during Fall and Spring. In Summer, she attends residential silent mindfulness retreats. She stays committed to her personal practice.
