Workshops for Teens
Are you about to leave home for college? Are you excited about the independence yet anxious about the unfamiliar, unknown new life? Do you usually feel stressed out when the schedule or workload is overwhelming, friendships aren't working out, or things are not the way you want?
Scientific studies have shown that regular practice of mindfulness integrates different parts of the adolescent brain, keeps stress levels manageable, improves interactions and relationships with others, and increases the ability to make wiser decisions leading to a happier life.
I am now offering a short 3-hour interactive workshop for young adults called Stress Resilience for Life After High School, where they will explore what mindfulness means, learn a few short mindfulness practices, and then discuss how these tools can be integrated with their life after high school. Participants will also receive resources for further exploration.
